Kakegawa Nishi High School (August 22, 2024) Field work

We aim to foster students' interest in IT and provide opportunities for future learning.
On August 22, 2024, we hosted a fieldwork program for six 2nd-year students from Kakegawa Nishi High School.
The students, who had developed an interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) through their school's Career Exploration classes, expressed a desire to learn more about AI and visited us. To answer the students' questions of AI and address their interests, two of our young employees held a roundtable discussion. The students listened attentively to the explanation about AI, and they actively asked many questions during the Q&A session.

Students' impressions

The participating students shared the following impressions:
  • I wanted to explore AI in my high school classes, so I visited SANEI HYTECHS. The employees were very kind and made me so fun.
  • During the Q&A session with the young employees, and they answered various questions all carefully. I learned a lot about AI, which I knew nothing about before.
  • While researching AI for my school's exploratory activities, I found many things that I couldn't find on the internet, so I wanted to hear about it firsthand. Even to my questions about bottom-up AI and top-down AI, they explained everything to me carefully until the end, and I learned a great deal.
  • We visited your company to explore our group's theme: 'Is it possible to recreate Doraemon?' I thought it was impossible for high school students to work with artificial intelligence. However, through this fieldwork, I realized that if we research and take things step by step, it is indeed possible, and I am very happy about that. I want to use what I've learned to further my activities at school.
Through this fieldwork program, the students deepened their understanding of AI and increased their motivation for future exploratory learning. As part of our commitment to supporting the growth of the next generation, we will continue to actively engage in such activities.
