1st-year students from the Hamamatsu Nishi High School Junior Division (December 4, 2024)
We aim to foster students' interest in IT and provide opportunities for future learning.
On December 4, 2024, we hosted workplace visit for four 1nd-year students from Hamamatsu Nishi High School Junior Division.
During the workplace visit, we held a company introduction, an office tour, and a Q&A session on AI. In a roundtable discussion with young engineers from the AI department, we answered each of the pre-submitted questions one by one. It was impressive to see the students listening attentively and taking notes with serious expressions.
We hope that this experience will inspire students to think about their future careers and career paths. Moving forward, we will continue to contribute to local educational activities and support the growth of young people who will lead the next generation.

Students' impressions
- My interest in AI grew, and I wanted to clarify some questions I had, so I decided to visit the workplace. I was happy to learn not only about AI but also about the role of semiconductors and the development of new technologies. What left the strongest impression on me was how passionately the employees were working on AI. I wish them all the best as they continue their development efforts.
- I participated because I wanted to learn how modern AI is being adopted and how it will evolve in the future. I was particularly impressed that I could learn not only about AI but also about the semiconductor technology that supports it. The employees answered each of our many questions with patience and care. Thank you very much for your thorough explanations.
- I became interested in AI during my school’s integrated learning program, and I participated in the workplace visit. It was a valuable experience to hear directly from employees working with AI and to see an actual workplace in action. Although I don’t usually have much exposure to AI, I learned that it plays a significant role in developing solutions that benefit society. This experience made me want to apply what I learned in the future.
- I participated in the workplace visit as part of my seminar on "The Relationship Between AI and Human Work." The employees provided clear explanations about AI, allowing me to gain a lot of new knowledge. This experience made me think about how we should use AI, and I strongly felt that "it’s essential to use AI wisely as a tool and to prevent its misuse." I thought I should actively research specialized terms and technologies related to AI.
