On December 18, 2024, we hosted a field study for eight 1st-year students from Hamamatsu Konan High School.

Students' impressions

  • I was able to see how engineers work and what kind of environment they work in. It was a valuable experience to see a workplace that we usually don't have access to.
  • I had the chance to set and calculate resistance values and program a motorized car.It was difficult to get it to move as I intended, but when it finally worked, I felt a great sense of accomplishment.
  • In the analog circuit design experience, there were many moments when we had to work together as a team. Adjusting the resistance precisely was especially challenging. Through trial and error with my teammates, we finally completed it, and I was really happy when it was done.
  • We had a chance to actually apply Ohm's law, and I realized how what I learned in school could be useful.  In school, it’s hard to feel the real-world application of what we study, but through this experience, I understood its importance.
  • It was exciting to see that the actual measurement results matched my calculations after calculating resistance and voltage. Proving that my calculations were correct gave me a great sense of achievement.
  • The tasks were difficult at times, but I felt that if I keep studying, I’ll be able to understand them. The circuits were complex, and it was challenging to locate the correct components, but being able to work hands-on was a valuable experience.
  • The office was very spacious, and I felt a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The employees were kind, and their explanations were easy to understand. The experience of designing a metaverse system and a walking robot was fascinating, making for a fulfilling day.
  • I was intrigued by the rooms we couldn’t enter, as it gave me the impression that top-secret research was being conducted. It made me feel excited and curious. I felt that SANEI HYTECHS is a company that supports future technologies and a society where robots play a central role. I’m excited to see what they achieve next.
