Shizuoka Prefectural Iwata Nishi High School (September 11, 2025)

We foster interest in IT among junior and senior high school students and create learning opportunities that will lead to future success.
On September 11, 2025, we hosted five second-year students from Shizuoka Prefectural Iwata Nishi High School for a field study.
This program aims to provide students interested in IT, semiconductors, and LSI technology with learning opportunities that will be useful for their future careers through design experiences, workplace tours, and roundtable discussions with our employees.

Experience Program

In addition to an analog circuit design experience, the program included a workplace tour and a roundtable discussion with our employees. Through these experience programs, the students learned about actual work environments and technologies, and through interactions with our employees, they deepened their understanding of the industry's appeal and the rewards of their work. I hope this experience will help all students move forward positively in their future studies and career choices.

Students' impressions

  • My research topic was labor, and I participated in this field study because I wanted to learn how AI and automated robots can be used to alleviate labor shortages. It was fascinating to actually see a robot in action and learn about its internal mechanisms. At first, I was a little worried because it seemed difficult, but thanks to the careful instruction, I was able to gain a variety of experiences and it was a great experience.
  • My school proposed many companies to me, and I chose one related to IT and AI, which interested me. As I asked questions, I discovered more and more I wanted to know than I had originally thought, but I was glad that they answered all my questions. There were times when I struggled to figure out the cause of a robot malfunction. Learning real-world problems was a good experience.
  • I participated in this field study because I'm interested in robot design, semiconductors, and programming. I'm glad I was able to get answers to my questions. Adjusting voltage and resistance when designing a robot was difficult and challenging, but it was a great experience. Thank you for sharing so much with us.
  • I was interested in the field study and decided to participate. I was very impressed by being able to understand how the robot works inside and being able to adjust it myself. I also had a lot of questions answered, so it was a very educational experience.
  • I'm interested in IT work and thought the experience would be fun, so I decided to participate. It was a lot of fun to actually operate the machine and try changing the reaction distance with the sensor parts. I had the impression that the work would be done alone, so I was surprised to learn that it is actually done collaboratively with many people. Learning that conversation and teamwork are also valued has piqued my interest. I'm really glad I was able to learn so much through this experience.
