Hamamatsu Konan High School (December 17, 2025)

We foster students' interest in IT and create learning opportunities that pave the way for their future.
On December 17, 2025, we hosted a field study for nine 1st-year students from Hamamatsu Konan High School.

Hands-on Program

The students took on the following experience program:
  • Company Introduction and Workplace Tour
  • Analog Circuit Design Experience
  • Casual Talk with Our Employees

Students' impressions

  • I joined because I wanted to learn how smartphones and AI actually work. Working collaboratively in a group to verify our ideas was rewarding, and I felt a strong sense of achievement when everything worked as expected. It was challenging to troubleshoot why the robot wasn't moving as expected, but it gave me a real sense of the difficulties—and rewards—of manufacturing.I learned that LSIs play an essential role in supporting our daily lives.
  • I decided to join because the opportunity to operate a robot sounded exciting. During the design exercise, I was delighted when I successfully adjusted the stopping distance to stop precisely at the 20 cm target. I struggled with getting stable measurements, but learning about semiconductors and LSIs sparked my interest in a field I knew nothing about before.
  • I was attracted by the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in actual design work. What impressed me most was hearing firsthand insights about AI from professionals working in the field. While the detailed tasks required patience, I felt a great sense of accomplishment when the robot stopped exactly as planned. I found the company’s atmosphere and the personalities of its employees to be very appealing.
  • I joined because I was interested in programming and controlling a robot myself. It was enjoyable to work through each challenge step by step, and I was happy when the robot moved exactly as intended. The technical terms were difficult, but I was amazed by the precision and scale of the work the company does.
  • I participated because I was interested in AI and robotics and valued the opportunity to experience them firsthand. The roundtable discussion was particularly helpful, as I could learn how employees had chosen their career paths and the company. Although I struggled with the detailed design tasks, the experience provided valuable insights into LSIs and the internal components of smartphones.
  • As I was looking for companies that emphasize hands-on experiences, the chance to operate a robot strongly appealed to me. I was pleased that the values we calculated matched the actual measurement results. Everything went smoothly, and I felt comfortable throughout the experience. It’s a field I don't usually think about, so this was a very valuable experience for me.
  • After reading other participants’ feedback and finding it interesting, I decided to challenge myself in an unfamiliar field. Working with friends to perform calculations and measurements left a strong impression on me. Although we had to redo the work several times due to inconsistent values, the guidance we received enabled us to complete the task successfully.
  • I joined because I am interested in AI and electronic devices and wanted to learn more about the technologies behind everyday products. I enjoyed thinking through how to make the robot stop precisely at 20 cm while actually operating it. Although the content was somewhat challenging, it motivated me to learn more on my own.
  • Having prior experience in programming and manufacturing, I was naturally drawn to this opportunity. I was happy that our group was able to work together to adjust the robot to the target stopping distance. Although there were moments when I questioned whether our values were accurate, the positive workplace atmosphere made the company feel like a comfortable and supportive place to work.
