Hamamatsu Tobu Junior High School (January 22, 2025)

On January 22, 2025, as part of our community contribution initiative, company employees participated as instructors in the 'Career Lecture' held at Hamamatsu Tobu Junior High School.

Overview

This marked the third instance of our participation in the Career Development Session at Tobu Junior High School.
During the session, we introduced how our company's business activities and services contribute to society, and talked about what employees value when choosing a job and what is rewarding about their work.
Furthermore, based on our own experiences, we gave students advice that will be useful when considering their future career paths.

Student Impressions

  • I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your participation as instructors in the Career Lecture. I was amazed to learn that semiconductors are essential components in virtually all electrically powered devices, including smartphones, personal computers, and televisions. I also learned that semiconductors are essential for improving the performance and miniaturization of products, and I was able to deeply understand the necessity of this. I developed a strong interest in semiconductor design. From Mr. Fujita's presentation, I learned the importance of trying various things with a passion and acting based on whether you want to do it, not whether you can do it, and I would like to make use of this in my future life. From now on, I want to actively try things that I've given up on because I think I can't do them, and gain new knowledge and experience.
  • Thank you for conducting the informative Career Lecture. I would like to work in a manufacturing-related job in the future, so I am very happy to have been able to learn more about semiconductors in this course and about the differences between Japanese and foreigners that will be useful in the future. I found the difference between high-context and low-context particularly interesting, and I felt that by paying attention to word choice and the level of explanation when interacting with foreigners, we can communicate smoothly and deepen mutual understanding. In addition, I think that the idea of 'making things as simple as possible' that you keep in mind when designing semiconductors is common to all manufacturing, so I would like to keep this in mind in the future.
  • I express my sincere appreciation for the engaging Career Lecture. Mr. Fujita's anecdotes from his experiences in China were captivating. My father was also posted overseas for five years, so I felt a sense of affinity and enjoyed listening to Mr.Fujita's talk. The emphasis on 'cross-cultural understanding' and 'effective communication' provided valuable life lessons that extend beyond the professional realm. I will not forget what I have learned today and will continue to cherish my desire to try new things.
